Job Title: Planning Manager
Main Purpose of the Role
The Planning Manager will work closely with the Projects, Site Operations, and Warehouse teams to coordinate resources, equipment, and deliveries, ensuring each project is delivered smoothly, safely, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the planning of allocated projects.
* On receiving operational instructions via Smartsheet, review all available information and begin preliminary discussions with the Construction Manager to identify any potential issues.
* Book all necessary equipment for each project.
* Operate the Navision system daily to obtain and update relevant information.
* Check availability of resources for the duration of the build, event, and dismantle phases.
* Inform the Planning Team of any changes that may affect other projects.
* Coordinate site-to-site stock transfers to avoid unnecessary cross-hire costs.
* Support the Planning Team in scheduling site movements of stock and adjust build programmes as necessary, raising challenges with the Project Manager and Operations Manager.
* Report any stock anomalies to the Operations Manager that may lead to additional hire, capital expenditure, or in-house manufacturing costs.
* Inform the Project Manager of any additional external hire or capex costs.
* Collaborate with the in-house Engineer, Construction, and Project Managers to ensure the correct ballast and fixings are supplied as needed.
* Develop comprehensive loading schedules based on all available information to align with the Path Planner.
* Work closely with the Yard/Warehouse team on loading lists, rework requirements, and kit dispatch.
* Take overall operational responsibility for the projects assigned.

* Report any safety concerns promptly and take appropriate action.
Knowledge Required
* Experience in planning for temporary structures.
* Ability to read and interpret technical component drawings.
* Knowledge of logistics and warehouse processes for efficient delivery.
* Experience in the build and dismantling of temporary structures on site is desirable.
Skills & Qualifications
* No formal qualifications are required; a practical, common-sense approach is essential.
* Training will be provided as required.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
