Training & Education Manager (Maternity Cover) – Based: Key College, Derby. Salary: £29,815.06pa. Hours: 35hrs per week. (9-month Maternity cover February 2026 - October 2026).

YMCA Derbyshire Key College is seeking a dynamic Training and Education Centre Manager (Maternity Cover) to lead our vibrant post 16 provision. This pivotal role focuses on empowering young people through inclusive, high-quality learning, shaping the learner experience, building strong relationships with staff, students, and external partners, and driving high standards in teaching, outcomes and pastoral support. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our centre, supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in our community, those at greatest risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). Your leadership will create a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment where learners can re-engage with education, overcome barriers, and realise their potential. Through strong relationship-building, a commitment to inclusion, and a relentless focus on driving up standards, you will help shape a provision where every learner is seen, heard, and given the tools to succeed.

Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and develop the Training & Education Centre as part of YMCA Derbyshire Key College, delivering high-quality post-16 provision and improving learner outcomes.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with learners, staff, external partners and stakeholders to support delivery and safeguarding of learners.
* Ensure safe, inclusive, and aspirational learning environments where learners can re-engage with education and achieve their potential.
* Work towards set KPIs, drive brand recognition, and maximise positive impact across centres.
Qualifications
* Essential: Appropriate qualification (e.g., TAQA, Cert Ed) or equivalent experience in a relevant sector.
* Knowledge and understanding of post-16 education.
* Strong knowledge of requirements linked with Ofsted and awarding bodies.
* Driving license and use of own car is essential as there will be an expectation to work across numerous sites.
