About the service Our Rossorry Grove Supported Accommodation is a purpose built 13 apartment supported accommodation service for young people who were homeless or at risk of becoming so. We work with young people aged 16 to 21 years, many of whom have been in care and / or struggle with significant mental health concerns and substance misuse issues. Each young person will have their own self-contained flat and staff work closely with them to support their development of independent living skills and enabling them to move safely into the community. We operate a 24/7 service. How you'll help to create brighter futures We're looking for a Team Leader who'll be a positive role model, while providing line management to a team of staff, to deliver high standards of care. You’ll be responsible for rota management, lead on shifts, support staff in their personal development and assist the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the service. You'll be part of an exceptional team who work together to develop and proactively help our young people on their journey to lead an independent life by supporting them in achieving outcomes, making informed choices, and promoting participation in their community. Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care. Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes. Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people. Assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service. Leading, assessing and developing staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals and risk assessments in conjunction with the Registered Manager. Let's talk about you Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for a Team Leader Residential with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. Ideally you’ll have: A L3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or the willingness to achieve this within 2 years) Previous experience of supervising and developing staff. Significant experience of working with young people aged 16 – 21 years. Experience of planning, prioritising and evaluating activities to identify problems and find solutions. A sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding. Flexibility to work shifts and participate in the on-call rota.
