We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic RVN to work alongside our large team of Vets, Nurses, Student Nurses, Veterinary Auxiliaries, and Receptionists. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC). The role will include all aspects of nursing. We are a 6-site small animal practice with two accredited hospitals. We have great transport links into Birmingham city centre and are located near beautiful rural areas such as Kinver, Clent Hills, and the Lickey Hills. You will be mainly based at our Northfield site, with occasional coverage at our other branches.
Our ideal candidate will have varied experience in all aspects of nursing, be friendly, empathetic, hardworking, and personable. They should have a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities include general nursing duties such as caring for inpatients, theatre practice, basic laboratory tasks, consultations, patient admits and discharges, triaging patients, and assisting with incoming calls. You will also assist with procedure pricing, stock management, ordering, and supporting student nurses and new graduate vets.

Our hospital is equipped with ultrasound, CT, K-laser, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and dental X-ray, enabling us to offer a wide range of services. We have 3-5 vets working daily, including certificate holders in various disciplines such as surgery, medicine, cardiology, exotic species, ophthalmology, and ECC. We support local charities, which form part of our caseload.
Manor Vets comprises 24 Veterinary Surgeons, 25 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 7 Student Veterinary Nurses, 9 Veterinary Auxiliaries, 17 Receptionists, 4 admin staff, and a team of managers. Our certificate holders across practices allow us to handle a large and diverse caseload in-house.
