Job Title: Community Wellbeing Social Worker (Adult Social Care)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hereford City, Ross on Wye, and Leominster (please specify preference)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £36,363 to £40,777 + £3,000 welcome payment

A full driving licence and ability to travel around the county are required.
Role
The Herefordshire Community Wellbeing Directorate is looking for enthusiastic, self‑motivated, professionally confident social workers who enjoy fast paced work and have experience working with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs and older adults. The role includes Care Act assessments, support planning, Strengths Based approach, CHC/s117 work, Section 42 enquiries, Mental Capacity Assessments and Community DoLS, plus regular supervision and opportunities for specialist practice development.
Qualifications
* Registered social worker with Social Work England.
* Degree, Diploma, C.S.S, or C.Q.S.W in Social Work practice.
* Knowledge of current legislation and guidance in adult social care.
* Experience undertaking person‑centred, strengths‑based, outcome‑focused assessment, care management and review.
* Ability to undertake safeguarding enquiries with appropriate training.
* Qualification or potential to undertake courses in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, or Approved Mental Health Professional.
* Experience working in partnership with other agencies to ensure safety and support independence.
