Due to continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to support their finance operations on a part-time basis. Your new role As a Part-Time Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Working closely with the management team, you will maintain financial systems and provide essential support to keep the business running smoothly. Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately. Maintain purchase and sales ledgers. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow. Prepare VAT returns and assist with compliance requirements. Support payroll processing and maintain employee records. Liaise with external accountants for year-end reporting. Provide regular financial updates to management. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar). Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. Good communication skills and a proactive approach. Experience within the construction industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
