We are seeking a Graduate Procurement Officer to join our growing Commercial & Supply Chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your procurement career in a future-focused industry, working on high-impact projects including water infrastructure, sustainability, and innovation in supply chain strategy. As a key member of our early careers programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience across procurement operations, supplier engagement, tendering processes, and contract management, all while receiving tailored support and development. Key Responsibilities Support end-to-end procurement activities across various categories (construction, engineering, consultancy, services) Conduct supplier research and market analysis to inform sourcing decisions Assist in preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and managing contract awards Collaborate with project teams, legal, and finance to ensure compliance and value delivery Contribute to our sustainability, local sourcing, and innovation objectives Maintain procurement records and support performance reporting Essential: A recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sustainability, Economics) Strong interest in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles Excellent communication and analytical skills Organised, proactive, and a team player Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with data Desirable: Full UK driving licence (or working towards it) Caring and investing in you Our values have been embedded at Barhale for over 40 years, and they are our guiding principles regarding how we care and invest in people.
