The role: Working as part of an agile team, you will deliver challenging engineering projects across our three core services of engineering, consultancy equipment design and build, and testing services. Working days are Monday to Friday at our office in Hexham. Duties will include: Completion of engineering consultancy studies, generation of reports Concept development and design of mechanical equipment and systems Generation of associated drawings and specifications Oversight of equipment manufacture in the supply chain Development and delivery of bespoke test programmes Leading of assembly and testing activities in the RED Technology Centre Installation and commissioning of equipment on clients sites (both onshore and offshore) Who we are looking for: We are looking for applications with the following criteria: Essential: A Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or above) A minimum of 2 years design exerience in a relevant area - experience of offshore or nuclear industries an advantage Proficient in IT and engineering software packages Good planning, organisation and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing Ability to work effectively within teams and interface with technical clients Desirable: Experience of the offshore and/or nuclear industries Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices Knowledge of manufacturing processes (specifically including fabrication and machining) Experience of multidiscipline engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Control, Hydraulic) Ability to manage client relationships What we will offer you: Varied and interesting work Training and development that focuses on both technical and behavioural skills The opportunity to be part of a high performing, talented and motivated team A happy and vibrant working environment in the heart of Northumberland with a unique culture that supports mental and physical wellbeing including flexible working and daily lunchtime sports activities A competitive rewards package including annual discretionary bonus and company pension Generous holiday allowance Private healthcare EV / Cycle schemes This post is open for people to apply to express an interest in any vacancies that may come up in the future and to open dialogue with potential opportunities.
