Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting for a Document Controller to work at our customer's site in Derby on a contract basis. This position is initially for 6 months.
The role involves taking responsibility for the control and delivery of smaller, lower complexity projects or aspects of project portfolios. The successful candidate will monitor, review, and report the status of projects in accordance with the Project Management Plan and in agreement with the Project Sponsor and Project Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering smaller, lower complexity projects or aspects of project portfolios effectively.
* Reporting the status of projects and project portfolios as per project requirements.
* Managing and reporting variances to the project baseline and tracking project Key Performance Indicators.
* Reviewing project data to identify trends, anomalies, and proposing corrective actions when performance deviates from specifications.
* Implementing effective controls in line with company procedures to ensure project success.
* Providing accurate reports to relevant stakeholders within specified timescales.
* Facilitating and managing risk and opportunity activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Membership of a professional body and working towards or possessing an APMP qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in developing and implementing project management processes and lifecycle, with good knowledge of project control processes.
