We currently have a great opportunity for a Field Operations Manager to join our leakage team at our Orpington Water Treatment Works Site. This is an exciting opportunity to join Thames Water as a Field Operations Manager (Complex Underground Assets) across our London networks.
As a Manager for the Contract and Operations Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the management of all Instrumentation Control & Automation (ICA) and Mechanical & Electrical and Pressure management work is in place to make sure that our technicians and contracted partners have the pre‑requisites in place to allow them to start and complete our capital and Planned maintenance programmes as scheduled.

What you'll be doing as a Field Operations Manager?
* Management of all water network pre‑requisites and activities delivered by the Complex Underground and Pressure Management Teams to facilitate the delivery of capital and maintenance projects and programmes.
* Management of relevant processes to ensure governance of key delivery metrics.
* Communicating with all stakeholders in a professional manner to ensure efficient completion of Capex and maintenance programmes.
* Support the implementation of new technical systems and processes to improve efficiency of the Contract and Operations Team.
* Engagement with HS&W initiatives providing examples of best practice / contributions to HS&W improvements.
* Provision of accurate and timely information to the project support technicians in the field so that they have the knowledge to provide clear and relevant information to our customers.
What you should bring to the role?
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
* Very good knowledge on the processes of water networks, as well as Water Network Standards to understand and demonstrate best practice is highly desirable.
* Experience in coordinating for teams of internal and external stakeholders to deliver Key KPI’s is desirable.
* Work with Contracts manager and under own initiative to deliver specified work streams within SLAs.
* Ability to populate overtime usage in a controlled, reportable and fair basis.
* Competent at using appropriate company IT Systems and office‑based software with preferable experience in GIS, Watercore, Waternet, Z‑One, PI, SCADA, MS Teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of attention to detail with the ability to report and track progress of multiple projects.
* Proactively own either non‑available asset issues on high priority assets, complex cases, or out of SLA cases, to attain a resolution.
