The Assistant Manager will also support the owners in the running of Cabinet Rooms' café-bar and events, including managing inbound booking enquiries and day-to-day operations so you'll need to be well organised and on the ball at all times

Main Responsibilities
* Management of shifts
* Ensuring stock counts are completed on time and accurately
* Weekly banking and admin support
* Support the directors with menu development
* Line management of the café team on a daily basis
* Leading training for the team
* Carrying out staff reviews and appraisals
* Keyholder
* Manage booking enquiries and private events
Education, Qualifications and Training Essential
Educated to A-Level
Desirable - Food Hygiene Level 2
Full, clean driving licence
Personal Licence Holder
Experience and Competencies
Essential
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet and work well under pressure
* Experience of supervising or managing a team
* Knowledge of wines and spirits
* Experience of managing front of house operations in a premium quality hospitality business
* Ability to provide consistent excellent customer service to the public
* Commercially astute
* Polite and courteous manner
* Interest in and passion for quality food and drink
* Welcoming, warm and respectful approach
* Honest and effective communicator
* Proactive, can-do attitude
* Drive and ambition to increase sales
* Good sense of humour
Desirable
* Experience in cocktail bartending
* Barista trained
* Strong social media skills
* An understanding of dealing with budgets, labour controls and forecasting
