Job Overview
To provide day-to-day care for service users under the supervision of a Clinician, adhering to best practice, standards and guidelines, and contributing towards the service users care and treatment.
* Work in partnership with service users and other members of the MDT to achieve optimum health outcomes for clients.
* Provide a high and consistent level of holistic care, maintaining dignity and equality of the individual, including direct care.
Main Duties
Health Care Support Workers deliver frontline care and support. The role involves working with vulnerable people who have mental health problems, enabling them to live independently, participate in local community activities, and maintain good mental and physical wellbeing.
We seek well‑motivated, conscientious and friendly people willing to learn and play a key role in improving the lives of the patients we work with.
Welsh language skill is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.
Qualifications
* Essential: Meets all essential criteria as per the attached job description/person specification.
* Desirable: Training in Mental Health.
Experience
* Essential: Significant experience working with people with dementia.
* Desirable: Experience working in a mental health care setting and in the community.
Skills
* Essential: Evidence of working as part of an MDT, good communication skills, ability to work autonomously.
* Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh, evidence of IT skills.
