The role
Be part of a team delivering the next generation of secure military communications satellites for the UK Ministry of Defence. This work provides resilient, high‑performance connectivity for the UK, its allies and Defence personnel worldwide, playing a critical role in protecting national security as space becomes more contested and demand for secure data continues to grow.

Responsibilities
* You will establish collaborative relationships across and beyond your own area of responsibility to maximise business performance.
* You will provide team leadership and vision to the team working collaboratively with the customer and peer contractors.
* You must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with key influencing abilities, documented leadership and demonstrate initiative.
* You will be part of a team to plan and manage detailed schedule networks from design, assembly, test, and into operations.
* You will interface with Engineering, Finance and Business Operations, Supply Chain, and Programme Management while working with the entire planning team to translate authorised customer requirements into the performance measurement baseline.
Other duties
* Develop and maintain compliant Integrated Master Schedules that accurately and comprehensively validate contractual scope, workflow, and resources required to execute the program.
* Work with cross‑functional teams to drive progress and performance, monitor changes and status, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
* Assist in negotiating handoffs between product areas regarding technical content and schedules as well as facilitating workaround planning as required.
* Serve as a liaison by maintaining, publishing, and presenting relevant planning and scheduling information and metrics to provide visibility to management.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
* UK Citizenship; Current SC clearance or ability to achieve.
* Extensive experience in a project management schedule networking tool such as Open Plan (preferred), Primavera, Artemis, MS Project, or another comparable scheduling/planning tool.
* Advanced experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices including Cost/Schedule Integration, Earned Value Metrics, Performance Measurement/Reporting, and Project Control and Forecasting.
* Experience in compiling, preparing and presenting project briefings to internal management and external customers.
* Proven experience developing and delivering customer deliverables.
* Proven experience with conducting Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs) using Monte Carlo simulations and presenting results to internal and external stakeholders.
* Master Schedule development and maintenance.
* Demonstrated team building skills.
* Demonstrated influencing and relationship management skills.
Desired skills
* Expert experience in a project management schedule networking tool such as Open Plan (preferred), Primavera, Artemis, MS Project.
* Additional planning knowledge/experience (examples: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP)).
* JIRA advanced experience.
* Proposal Master Schedule development and submittal experience.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline would be helpful but strictly necessary, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 years or more of professional experience; or 13 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
