Your new school
Lift Charles Warren is an inclusive primary for children aged 4 to 11, with both mainstream classes and a specialist provision for pupils in EYFS to the end of Key Stage 1. Set in the beautiful village of Simpson, the school is surrounded by trees and bordered by the canal, giving children the benefit of extensive grounds and a wonderful environment in which to learn and play. The school is led by an ambitious and dedicated Principal, Mrs Sharon Burke. In July 2025 the school received an Ofsted with areas being good or outstanding.
Your new role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for somebody who loves teaching, thrives on getting the best out of children but would like a more varied role. You will be teaching Year 6 in the mornings and in the afternoons working with small groups of children (6-10) who require extra support to meet their full potential. You will also be covering classes as and when required to allow our placement students time to study. At Lift Charles Warren we have high expectations for all pupils. Our aim is for every child to be inspired, challenged and supported to achieve their very best and this role is vital for us to meet that promise to parents and children alike.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher who has patience and understanding with young children. You'll be able to quickly adjust teaching methods to meet the needs of all children. It's important you have the flexibility to be able to handle unexpected situations with professionalism and patience in interactions with a variety of children and situations, with a calm demeanour.
