We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager with fantastic strategic leadership and risk management skills. Reporting to our Director of People and Talent and working with colleagues in compliance and assets, the postholder will lead, develop, and implement robust health and safety systems across MSV, ensuring full compliance with statutory health and safety obligations and best practice standards. The post will manage and mitigate health and safety risks through effective monitoring, reporting, and strategic oversight to safeguard colleagues, contractors, and customers. What will our Health and Safety Manager do; Stay up to date with health and safety legislation and provide expert guidance to leaders on compliance and best practices. Develop and evaluate health and safety policies and embed a strong safety culture across the organisation. Implement and monitor risk assessments, safe systems of work, COSHH compliance, and ensure effective H&S systems are in place. Identify training needs, deliver H&S training and inductions, and support managers and teams in maintaining safe practices. Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations; manage incident reporting (including RIDDOR); and report performance to senior leadership. Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe environments, contractor compliance, and effective budget and claims management.
