Finance SupervisorOffice BasedFree ParkingAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy finance function. This role will play a key part in ensuring financial processes run efficiently while supporting and guiding a small finance team.The successful candidate will bring strong technical finance experience alongside proven team leadership skills, ensuring the team is well organised, supported, and set up for success on a daily basis.Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operation of the finance function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across processes
* Supervise and support members of the finance team, ensuring workloads are organised and priorities are clear
* Hold regular 1–2–1 meetings with team members to provide support, guidance, and performance feedback
* Ensure the team is effectively set up each day, with clear direction on tasks and responsibilities
* Review financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting to maintain strong financial controls
* Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting and management information
* Manage and resolve complex or escalated finance queries
* Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
* Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team
* Experience conducting regular 1–2–1s and supporting team development
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload across a team
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
* Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships
