Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Barrow-in-Furness, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
* Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef
* Manage your designated station, overseeing the production of all assigned dishes
* Maintain high-quality standards for all dishes, ensuring excellent presentation and taste
* Collaborate effectively with all kitchen team members, providing support where necessary
* Contribute to menu development by suggesting improvements and innovations
* Uphold strict food safety and sanitation practices at all times
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated area and equipment
* Assist in stock rotation and inventory management within your section
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required
* Adapt to a flexible working pattern to support kitchen operations
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef De Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar culinary role
* Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification
* Up-to-date food hygiene certification
* Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
* Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous learning
