Occupational Therapist Disability Assessor
Location: Pontypridd
Permanent - full time or part time available (Mon-Fri)

Salary: £39,500 - £41,500 per year depending on location and role. Permanent - full time or part time available.
Overview
As a Disability Assessor you will work autonomously to assess the cases of claimants who are applying for Work Capability (WCA), as part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). An in-depth training programme is provided which is fully paid for, and this role counts towards your clinical hours, helping you maintain your HCPC registration.

Responsibilities
* Use your clinical experience to work with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, to understand how their disability affects daily life
* Work within an office environment and at home to complete detailed, meaningful and respectful assessments over the telephone, video or face-to-face
* Interpret medical evidence and compile findings into a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making
Requirements
* Applications are invited from Occupational Therapists for this vacancy
* HCPC registration is required
* You must have at least 1 year of broad post-registration experience; UK experience is essential
* Proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and IT competency is a must
