A leading regional law firm is seeking an Employment Paralegal to join its growing Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a supportive and ambitious environment, working across a wide range of employment law matters for both claimants and respondents.
Responsibilities include:
As an Employment Paralegal, you will work closely with senior lawyers and clients, assisting with both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You will be expected to take responsibility for elements of your own caseload, drafting documents, liaising with clients, and providing practical support to the wider team.
* Drafting correspondence and legal documents
* Managing elements of your own caseload with minimal supervision
* Liaising with clients, tribunals, and third parties in a professional and confident manner
* Providing research and administrative support on employment law issues
* Ensuring compliance with AML, client care, and financial procedures
* Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining client relationships
What we need from you:
* Previous experience in employment law (contentious and/or non-contentious)
* A good working knowledge of employment law and tribunal procedures
* A legal qualification (Law degree, Paralegal qualification, or CILEX) – desirable but not essential
* Strong drafting and proof-reading skills
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
* Confidence in managing client interactions with professionalism and discretion
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and legal document management systems)
* A collaborative, team-focused approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
