Join to apply for the Domestic Assistant role at NHS Scotland.
The role is based at Kilsyth Community Health Centre. The successful candidate will provide domestic service to patients, staff and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire premises, delivering a safe and welcoming environment and meeting NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. You will work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.
What you will bring
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
* On the job training and induction (typically 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked) to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks.
* Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training.
* Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
* Undertake and complete NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
* Please note: where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
Contract and working pattern
Contract type: Permanent
Employment type: Part-time
Hours: 16.03 per week
Please note this is a part-time post and the salary will be pro-rata.
Location and working pattern
This role is based in the Domestic Services Department within Kilsyth Community Health Centre.
Working pattern: Mon – Thu 17:30–20:45 and Fri 17:30–20:32.
