Company

Founded over two decades ago, a leading manufacturer of agricultural machines. The company was established by an experienced farmer who invented, developed, and patented the original Spread a Bale concept. This practical, hands on background shaped a product that has since become synonymous with high quality, British engineered machines.
Today, all machines are designed and manufactured in the company's own UK factory, supplying equipment to both the agricultural and recycling sectors.
Engineered for endurance in demanding applications, where reliability and durability are paramount. Every machine is built to deliver consistent performance, long service life, and dependable operation in challenging environments.
The business is supported by a global dealer and distributor network operating across 25 countries and five continents, providing local expertise and customer support worldwide. As part of its continued growth strategy, new distribution partners and sales channels are welcomed.

Role

The role is responsible for making autonomous operational decisions to meet the company's ambitious production growth targets, ensuring daily and weekly operational objectives are consistently achieved to an exceptional standard. The wider operations team includes fabrication welders, fitters, shot blasting and coatings operatives, and delivery drivers.

The role is critical in maintaining high machine build standards, minimising warranty risk, and supporting the delivery of specialist, patent protected machines to customers across the UK, Europe, and international markets.

Experience in recruiting, developing, and managing staff performance is essential, along with a strong understanding of fabrication, metal forming, laser profiling, and finishing processes. The role requires confidence in interpreting technical drawings, working with CAD systems, and managing HR-related processes.
The individual will be a strong and professional leader, capable of building high-performing teams, managing shift-based operations, and improving output against key performance indicators. They will demonstrate a strategic mind set, combined with the ability to see projects through to completion.
