Post No. POSN Housing Advice and Prevention Team Leader
Do you want to make a difference to help those in need of housing advice and statutory homelessness services in Newport?
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, pro-active, organised, and experienced Team Leader to ensure the provision of a comprehensive, trauma-informed housing advice and homelessness service.
You will manage the day-to-day caseload of a team of Housing Advice and Prevention Officers and take a pro-active approach to the prevention of homelessness utilising all available resources to assist clients in retaining or sourcing alternative accommodation.
You will monitor delivery of effective trauma-informed critical support interventions, applications and assessments for the Home Options Scheme and act in accordance with Welsh Governments aspiration of homelessness being 'rare, brief and unrepeated'
You will lead the operational delivery of a Housing Advice and Prevention Team by establishing, maintaining and developing multi-agency approaches to dealing with homelessness and homelessness prevention.
The post is primarily based at the Central Library Museum, with some home working.
