Our client is looking for a Project Co-ordinator who will report directly to the Product Development and Design Manager and is responsible for market and new product research. This role enables the company to develop new products that align with its sales strategy, costing, and planning of new product launches.
Responsibilities:
1. Attend trade shows and exhibitions (UK and overseas) to meet existing and potential suppliers and determine the supplier portfolio.
2. Preliminarily approve suppliers, ensuring all accreditation and audits meet UK and EU compliance.
3. Conduct product research to optimize product quality, cost, and design.
4. Conduct market research both in-store and online to stay informed of new and shifting trends.
5. Create clear and precise briefs for suppliers for new projects.
6. Create design briefs for new products for the design team.
7. Negotiate preliminary costs and order quantities to assess project feasibility.
8. Manage new product lines from concept to costing, ensuring timely launches within budget.
9. Attend relevant customer meetings to support the sales team.
10. Complete customer tenders, including supplier selection, costings, and sample requests.
