About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Professor with experience of developing and delivering modules or skills in the field of Transport and Logistics. The role is an education-focused appointment with opportunities for advancement up to Professor level. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience teaching in higher education and be passionate about impactful education and positive student outcomes. Candidates with research outputs but limited educational experience will not be shortlisted.

About You
The successful candidate should have experience of developing and delivering modules in Transport and Logistics and will have a developing academic or professional background in this area. Knowledge and experience in freight transport operations management, transport planning, warehouse operations management, warehouse layout design, sustainable logistics, integrated logistics and related topics are particularly desired.
For the Assistant Professor level the successful candidate will hold a doctorate or equivalent professional qualification alongside a postgraduate degree, and have experience teaching in a higher education context.
Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Transport and Logistics.
Develop and update curriculum, assessment, and resources for modules.
Co‑ordinate teaching activities, including tutorials, seminars and workshops.
Engage students through interactive and innovative teaching methods.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and assessment of the curriculum.

* Solid experience delivering teaching in higher education.
* Expertise in transport and logistics subjects listed above.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
