Join one of the UK’s largest and most respected organisations in the education sector, as they enter the next phase of their HR systems journey. This is a key opportunity to support the post-implementation and optimisation of SAMpeople, while helping to shape how HR technology supports people processes across the organisation.
Location: Hybrid working model – with at least one day per week on-site in central Manchester.
In this hands-on role, you’ll take the lead on all things HR technology, supporting day-to-day operations while driving improvements, configurations, reporting, and user experience. You’ll also support wider transformation work, including business change and project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Acting as the go-to person for HR systems, with a focus on optimising SAMpeople.
* Leading configuration, reporting, data analysis and reconciliation.
* Collaborating across HR, IT, and business teams to drive improvements.
* Supporting or leading on projects and business change initiatives related to HR technology.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in HR systems roles – ideally with SAMpeople, but experience with platforms like PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or Workday is also valuable.
* Comfortable working cross-functionally and independently in a broad HRIS role.
* Hands-on experience with system optimisation and/or implementation projects.
* Strong Excel skills – e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables – for data analysis and reconciliation.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on-site in Manchester at least once a week.
