We are looking to recruit an Area Operations Manager at Thames Water, to oversee the day-to-day water production across multiple sites in the Guildford & South West Surrey area.
In this exciting and high-profile position, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in creating and delivering the strategic direction of Water Production for the UK’s largest water company.
What you will be doing as an Area Operations Manager
* Overall accountability to efficiently deliver wholesome drinking water to our customers whilst ensuring regulatory compliance.
* You will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of water treatment, storage and transmission assets, managing a team of up to 30 people.
* Effective stakeholder management, including customers and customer groups, regulators, emergency services and political groups.
* You will focus on delivering internal performance targets across the business areas of Health & Safety, customer service, financial controls and efficiencies, regulatory compliance, and people development whilst developing and steering continuous performance improvements, including consistent reductions in operational costs.
* High-priority responsibilities will be to ensure operational strategies and plans are in place to meet regulatory requirements and operational capacity is provided through the implementation of operations and maintenance strategies, management of capital works, and coordination with Thames Water’s capital works programme.

* Extensive experience in managing operational sites.
* Strong Water Production Process knowledge and experience.
* A Full UK Driving Licence is required due to the role's nature.

* Salary between £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
