We are therefore recruiting a Vehicle Installation Electrician for the Bicester, Oxfordshire site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation an test of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer specification, ensuring necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to
The Role:
Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
Responsible for the installation and modification of vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation.
Responsible for the termination of various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
Responsible for the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
Responsible for the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
Responsible for ensuring the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.
The Requirements:
Time served as an automotive, domestic or industrial electrician
Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC
Capable of reading wiring diagrams
Demonstrate experience of routing and connection of various cable types
Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques
