About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Sport Coordinator to support the delivery of Swim England’s aquatic national programmes.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and effective coordination of programme activity, working closely with National Sport Leads, Sport/DiSE Officers and wider stakeholders to provide high-quality administrative and logistical support.
Working collaboratively across the sport, you will coordinate programme operations, manage key administrative processes and support athlete and workforce engagement. Your work will help ensure a consistent, efficient and professional approach to programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Support the delivery of aquatic national programmes through high-quality administration and coordination
- Coordinate logistics including travel, accommodation and venues in line with programme needs and budgets
- Prepare, monitor and reconcile athlete payments and financial processes
- Manage timesheets and expense administration accurately and on time
- Maintain athlete and workforce data on the talent management system, ensuring accurate records and compliance
- Support athlete selection processes, including eligibility checks, panel support and communications
- Collate and share programme feedback with sport leadership teams
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders including athletes, parents and support staff
- Coordinate kit distribution in collaboration with programme leads
- Ensure all activity aligns with safeguarding, welfare, EDI and data protection standards
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Strong administrative experience with excellent organisational and planning skills
- High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Teams)
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently using initiative
- Understanding of GDPR, safeguarding and DBS requirements within sport
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Desirable
- Knowledge of sport development or high-performance environments
- Experience using systems such as Teamworks
- Experience using technology to improve administrative efficiency
