Compliance Officer Leading Regional Law Firm Berkshire Up to £45kWe’re currently working with a fabulous leading regional law firm with offices across Buckinghamshire, and london looking for for a Compliance Officer to join a well-established compliance function.This is a great opportunity for someone with solid compliance experience who enjoys being hands-on and working across a broad range of regulatory matters. You’ll be joining a structured Risk & Compliance function and will play a key role in supporting the firm’s ongoing regulatory and risk management obligations.The role?
* Client onboarding and ongoing due diligence
* Reviewing AML documentation and supporting SAR reporting to the MLRO
* Source of Funds / Source of Wealth investigations
* Admin support for Credas / EIDV systems, including user access and queries
* Monitoring PEPs and sanctions alerts
* Managing and responding to complaints, including Legal Ombudsman matters
* Advising on GDPR and data protection issues
* Supporting regulatory audits and accreditations, including corrective actions
* Updating and maintaining policies and procedures
* Managing the Risk inbox (AML, conflicts, complaints, claims, data breaches, queries)
* Coaching colleagues through compliance processes
* Researching regulatory updates from the SRA / Law Society
* Maintaining sanctions lists and monitoring undertakings
* Supporting price transparency reviews
* Assisting with CQS accreditation and compliance training
* General risk and compliance administration
About you?
* 2–5 years’ experience in a law firm or professional services environment
* Strong understanding of AML and regulatory requirements
* Confident communicator with a practical, can-do approach
* Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
