About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for Site Engineer - Track to join our Rail team as part of the Sizewell C project.
The primary purpose of the role is to assist with providing technical support to the Senior Project Engineer for planning and delivering the permanent way design on the Sizewell C Rail Scheme, ensuring all technical aspects comply with relevant standards, including Network Rail Group standards, Rail Safety and Standards Board standards, British Standards, and safety legislation.
What you'll be doing
* Assist in the detailed planning and execution of Track Renewal and Enhancement Works as assigned by the Senior Project Engineer.
* Monitor and ensure technical compliance on all works, both on-site and in the office.
* Attend relevant meetings such as Whiteboard/Stage Gate meetings as required.
* Manage work to meet financial targets, performance KRAs, and other KPIs.
* Conduct surveys, plan and program work, provide technical supervision on site, and prepare necessary documents.
* Prepare and submit Bar Charts/Time Chainage charts, WPPs, task briefs, and other site documentation for all works.
* Perform safety inspections and submit Daily Work Returns (Planned vs Actual) promptly.
Who we're looking for
* Experience in Track Renewals / Enhancements or similar environments.
* Proficient knowledge of site technical activities and quality control, including surveying, setting out, dozing, and tamping.
* Understanding of Network Rail standards.
* Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Works Act 1974 and CDM Regulations 2015.
* UK Driving Licence.
* Experience with Trimble SPS930 and GPS Survey Equipment.
Desirable
* PTS (Personal Track Safety).
* Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
