We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in the Islington area that is seeking a reliable and organised Music Technician to join their Music department from January. This is a full-time, term-time position, offering an excellent opportunity to support high-quality music teaching and performance within a busy and creative department. The Role As Music Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to Music staff across KS3–KS5. This includes preparing equipment for lessons, rehearsals, and performances, maintaining instruments, and supporting students during practical sessions. You will play a key role in ensuring that lessons run smoothly by managing resources, setting up rehearsal spaces, and supporting concerts, performances, and school events when required. Key responsibilities include: Preparing instruments and equipment for lessons and rehearsals Maintaining and checking musical instruments and audio equipment Supporting staff and students during practical music sessions Assisting with concerts, recordings, and performances Managing stock, resources, and practice room timetables School Information This school has a strong commitment to the arts, with Music playing an important role in the wider life of the school.
