About the role
These are exciting times at ARAG, as weve been through a period of positive business change and sustained growth across our Legal Advice teams. As a result, we now have Legal Advice Paralegal opportunities available in our Bedwas office.
As a Legal Advice Paralegal, youll be responsible for providing a professional Legal Advice service to both our commercial and personal customers. Youll handle queries on a range of legal areas by establishing the facts of the customers legal issues, providing advice on the applicable law, and setting out the legal and/or practical options available to the customer, while reviewing sources of funding and alternative resolution solutions.
Responsibilities
* Managing the customer experience in an efficient and professional way, ensuring that customer engagement is maintained, expectations are managed, and service levels are met / exceeded.
* Ensuring customers are aware of any funding opportunities / benefits that may be available to them through their Legal Expenses Insurance product / private funding.
* Communicating to customers in a clear, concise and honest manner whilst ensuring that you remain sensitive and empathic to our customers and business partners needs.
* Understanding and complying with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) regulations and statutory obligations.
* Keeping abreast of any regulatory changes or legal updates that may be relevant to the Legal Advice Service.

Key Candidate Requirements
* Law Graduate i.e. Legal Executive, LPC / BVC / LLB (essential).
* Post‑graduate legal qualification(s) and/or some relevant legal work experience.
* Sound practical knowledge of areas of law such as Employment, Property, Consumer Law, as well as the ability to learn and advise on other legal issues affecting customers, such as Family, Wills & Probate, Landlord & Tenant and Commercial Law.
* Exceptional telephone manner and can demonstrate honesty, empathy and sensitivity when dealing with our customers.
* Ability to work well as part of a team with a collaborative, customer‑focused approach.
* Strong negotiation skills, analytical, methodical and proactive approach to problem solving.
* Resilience and motivation to provide a high‑quality performance in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
