What You Will Do
You will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and lifecycle support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level. You’ll work on technologies that support Control Actuation Systems, Guidance Electronics, and cutting-edge GPS Anti-Jamming systems across land, sea, air—and space.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
* Lead and support hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
* Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
* Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions
* Lead design reviews and documentation to the highest standards
* Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers
Required Experience
* Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design.
* Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
* Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
* Able to support/debug system integration
* Must be eligible for MOD Security Clearance to a minimum of SC level
* Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools.
* Understanding of common test architectures PXI/d LXI
* Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation
* Software Certification or detailed knowledge of: NI LabView, NI CVI, NI TestStand, C#
* Design of mix signal circuits
* High speed serial networks
* An appreciation of RF electronics
* Knowledge of power supply design
