Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to work across the Specialist Medicine speciality within the Medicine group. This includes the specialities of Diabetes, Endocrine and Dermatology with teams based across the acute and community setting.
Responsibilities
* Lead the quality agenda within the group to ensure a safe, high standard of care for all patients and support staff wellbeing.
* Deliver the goals described within the Matron’s Charter (2019) with a proactive and reactive stance on cleaning standards and infection control.
* Provide leadership for nursing service delivery and advice across several departments within a speciality; work within the group management structure and collaborate across MDTs.
* Be responsible for delivering nursing care within the Diabetes, Endocrine and Dermatology speciality, including ward-based and outpatient care.
* Make informed decisions within your specialty and scope of professional practice, involving patients and the public to meet standards, targets and objectives, focusing on safety, effectiveness and patient experience; support colleagues and other specialities and manage hospital bleep rota duties.
Qualifications and attributes
* Excellent communication skills; ability to lead and motivate others; highly visible, organised and empathetic.
* Clinical expertise and leadership to drive quality, safety and patient experience improvements.
* Ability to work across acute and community settings and across MDTs.
* Immunisation and vaccination report may be required from UK occupational health provider or GP.
