CASA Ltd is a sports coaching company aimed at primary schools and young children in Poole (Dorset) and the surrounding areas.
CASA Ltd was set up by two enthusiastic sports coaches, who wanted to show how sports could play an important role within the school environment. The company now teach over 1800 children every week with over 10 coaches, professionally delivering PPA sessions and lunchtime/after school clubs.
CASA Ltd has over 15 years of coaching experience inside the school environment. We offer fun activities that keep the children active and healthy whilst making new friends and building confidence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified sports coach to teach afterschool in Primary Schools. The role is part time and mainly in the afternoon during school time hours Monday-Friday. It may also include work during half term.
We have 5 hours available during the week, this will be initially then will look to increase.
Monday - Friday: 3:00-4:15/4:30pm
The ideal candidate would be qualified in a level 2 sports coaching qualification and or a degree in a relevant subject, have a paediatric first aid qualification, safeguarding trained (this can be provided), have a DBS certificate or be on the update service (a DBS check will also need to be completed by CASA Ltd if not on the update service). Having transport available is desirable as it may involve working at different locations in one day, travel expenses can be discussed upon achieving the role.
It is desirable that the candidate have experience working with large groups and within a primary school setting. It may include assisting and coaching different sports. For example, football, cricket, tennis, hockey, netball/basketball.
We are looking for the candidate to be approachable, friendly, confident, able to think on their feet, adaptable and able to work with school staff and coaches and independently. The candidate will also be required to submit lesson plans, complete light admin work including registers and assessments.
As part of the role candidates may be given the opportunity to gain extra coaching qualifications through the company and training such as first aid and safeguarding.
The candidate will need to provide two references and an up-to-date CV with covering letter as to why they feel they would be an ideal person for the role.
