Join Our Team as a Commercial Manager!

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (3 days per week onsite). We offer a variety of hybrid and flexible working arrangements—let's discuss the options that work best for you!

Salary: Starting at £55,000+, based on your skills and experience.


Your Mission:

As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our contract activities. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

* Drafting and negotiating complex terms and conditions to protect BAE Systems' interests.
* Overseeing all contract aspects of business winning.
* Ensuring compliance with BAE Systems' Operational Framework and commercial processes.
* Delivering commercial interfaces with Procurement and managing contract requirements.
* Supporting Contract and Bid Status Reviews to clarify ongoing activities.
* Engaging with both domestic and international customers.


Your Skills and Experience:

We’re looking for someone who brings:

* A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as Law.
* Proven experience in commercial management within major projects or complex programs.
* Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts.
* A strong understanding of bid management processes and business-winning activities.
* Knowledge of commercial governance frameworks, including Request for Bid Approval.
* The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Finance, and Project Management.

About the AUKUS Commercial Team:

The SSNR programme is entering an exciting phase of expansion, driven by the UK Programme of Record and the inclusion of an Australian partner under the AUKUS agreement. This growth necessitates a dedicated bid management function to create high-quality proposals that meet evolving customer needs. Join us in this innovative team, working on unique international contracts and shaping our future bid and contracting strategy. Relocation support packages are available for eligible candidates.
