Role Summary

Expert on practices, pharmacy networks, clinical data and patient populations focused on a specific allocated key account portfolio. Responsible for high-potential targets, closed-door pharmacies and community mental health centers within a geographic territory and for the promotion and growth of Neurocrine products. Organize collaboration efforts within offices and regional account opportunities. In collaboration with the PAS, manage and develop long-term relationships with physicians and other customers to understand needs and provide ongoing education. Develop cross-functional support systems to provide resources to accounts and customers. Represent Neurocrine brand(s) with approved indications in a compliant manner.


Your Contributions (examples)

* Leads the implementation for our patient-centric model including physicians, their staff, clinics, and applicable community mental health centers
* Creates, maintains and executes strategic business and key account plans reflecting brand plans and local market conditions
* Promotes product acceptance and drives sales growth within key accounts through education opportunities
* Executes sales force strategies and marketing plans to meet or exceed sales objectives via in-person and virtual visits, in-service presentations and speaker programs
* Serves as the authority on Neurocrine tools and resources for physicians, pharmacists, and other providers
* Develops strategies to penetrate targeted provider segments
* Maintains payer relationships to inform on coverage and reimbursement; collaborates with the payer access team to maximize patient access
* Collaborates with internal stakeholders across sales, reimbursement, and marketing
* Uses promotional resources and budget effectively
* Maintains excellent communication with cross-functional partners (managed care, MSLs, medical communications)
* Demonstrates ethical standards and compliance with company policies
* Identifies territory opportunities and barriers to ensure success
* Develops local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve objectives
* Complies with FDA guidelines and industry best practices
* Uses account selling strategies to meet needs of the patient care team (Pharm D, MD/NP/PA, LPN/RN)
* Manages relationships with customers including key opinion leaders, professional groups, payers and pharmacies
* Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

* BS/BA in science or related field with 4+ years in commercial pharma/biotech or related experience; 3+ years in specialty pharma or LTC, psychology, or neurology sales is highly desired. Close-door or specialty pharmacy distribution experience is strongly preferred. Psychiatry, neurology or antipsychotic experience is strongly preferred. Experience with business systems and salesforce automation tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Oracle, SAP, Business Objects, COGNOS, QlikView, Veeva) is preferred.
* OR Master’s degree in science or related field with 2+ years of similar experience
* Knowledge of best practices in related disciplines and ability to improve tools and processes
* Strong cross-functional, leadership and teamwork capabilities
* Excellent communications, problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and demonstrate effective project management
* High ethical standards and a track record of sales achievement; proven launch experience in complex environments
* Working knowledge of healthcare regulations and enforcement environments
* Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-driven culture
* Residence in the geographic area of the assigned territory and ability to travel, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Salary: The annual base salary is typically in the range of $132,600.00-$193,800.00, with an incentive target of $50,000.00. Benefits include retirement plan with company match, paid time off, medical/dental/vision benefits, and other applicable plans. Individual pay decisions depend on location, role complexity, and experience.
