Job summary
You will join a busy switchboard team providing a 24-hour service to the Trust. Shift patterns include weekends and bank holidays, with opportunities for additional shifts.
You must demonstrate commitment, the ability to work under pressure, work independently, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
Previous experience with telephone or contact centre systems is desirable, preferably within the NHS or a critical service environment. Computer literacy and customer care skills are essential.
Full training will be provided.
*The successful candidate will be based at the Bassetlaw site, but may be required to work at any Trust location. Service demands may alter working hours or location.*
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive switchboard service to internal and external callers at Bassetlaw Hospital, working with other switchboard operators or alone depending on the shift.
Shifts cover 24 hours, 7 days a week, including days, lates, and nights.
