Overview
Electrical Design Engineer – Gloucestershire area. Up to £55,000 per annum. We’re looking for a talented Design Engineer with strong E-Plan experience and ideally some exposure to robotics to join our growing engineering team. You’ll play a key role in modernising and improving processes, introducing innovative solutions, and driving engineering design projects that make a real difference. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within state-of-the-art facilities that offer a collaborative, forward-thinking, and pleasant working environment. While flexible home working is available, travel will be required to client sites—primarily around Gloucestershire and Leicester.
Type of work: Hybrid. Contract: Permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the modernisation and optimisation of engineering processes.
* Identify opportunities to expand in-house manufacturing capabilities.
* Deliver high-quality engineering design projects and support their implementation.
* Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to improve the reliability of automated systems.
* Champion new processes that drive innovation, enhance in-house expertise, and support team development.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 4 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in detailed design and product development within automated environments.
* Strong engineering foundation with intuitive problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in E-Plan and CAD/CAM design tools such as Autodesk.
* Ability to meet deadlines and achieve quality benchmarks in product development.
* Track record of implementing improvements and initiatives in challenging environments.
* Robotics experience is highly desirable.
