Job Title: Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to advance their career.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on bill of materials and engineering specifications, liaising with design engineers for alternatives or variations.
3. Purchase equipment in compliance with budget and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors for fabrication or assembly, ensuring correct revisions.
5. Visit subcontractors' premises to coordinate and review production.
6. Work with the design team to meet specifications and conduct quality checks prior to handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are performed, documented, and snags cleared before products leave for site.
8. Coordinate site preparation activities, including surveys, haulage, safety documentation, lifting equipment, and client handover.
9. Prepare, schedule, and monitor projects, following document control procedures.
10. Communicate with clients and project participants to interpret needs and present solutions.
11. Manage contracts, including responding to compensation events and issuing early warning notices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification and experience in a related discipline.
* Knowledge of SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel across the UK.
