Fleet Operations Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Operations Manager to join the team. We're flexible on the location of the candidate, but ideally you'll need to be based between Oxford & Pampisford.
We are seeking a proactive and focused Fleet Operations Manager to join our Transport team. The successful candidate will provide support to the Group’s company commercial and plant fleets to ensure we deliver a deliver a safe, efficient and legal fleet.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Lead and manage the Group transport operational team.
2. Provide exceptional service to our internal customers, first time every time.
3. Responsible for ensuring all vehicles meet the maintenance standards of Operator licencing, and Road Transport Law.
4. Provide technical knowledge and know-how to solve maintenance issues and reduce expenditure where possible.
5. Be part of the move to digitisation of the Transport team.
6. Lead supplier reviews and shape the maintenance profile of the Group’s fleet.
7. Carry out at high level investigations surrounding any fleet technical failure or engagement with regulatory authorities.
8. Drive out all operational inefficiencies and barriers that keep the team operating effectively, streamlining processes and implementing procedures as required.
9. Responsible for ensuring accurate fleet maintenance data input on the Group’s fleet system.
What you will need:
10. Qualified Road Transport Engineer, or equivalent industry experience.
11. Working knowledge of lorry-loader cranes, and plant equipment.
12. Strong experience and knowledge of maintenance job costs including parts & labour.
13. Wide experience of fleet management systems.
14. Demonstrate self-organisation and leadership skills.
15. Good oral and written communication skills.
16. Strong attention to operational detail.
