About the role
As an Assistant Hatchery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Hatchery Manager with the day-to-day running of the site. You’ll help drive operational efficiency, maintain high welfare and hygiene standards, and support the development of a motivated, high-performing team.

Hours of work
* Monday – 6:00am to 2:30pm
* Tuesday – 6:00am to 2:30pm
* Wednesday – 6:00am to 2:30pm
* Thursday – OFF
* Friday – 6:00am to 2:30pm
* Saturday – 6:00am to 2:30pm
Key responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day operations of the hatchery
* Mentor, coach, and develop team members
* Ensure effective hygiene and maintenance schedules are followed
* Plan and update the transport rota
* Provide hands-on support for hatchery tasks when required
* Stand in for the Hatchery Manager during absence or leave
Essential
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience in Hatchery, Production or FMCG role
* A proven leader with ability to mentor, motivate, and engage the team
* Excellent communication skills across all levels
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Desirable
* Knowledge of avian incubation and embryology
* Engineering background
