About
Trinity Solar is seeking a Human Resources Benefits Administrator responsible for managing and supporting all day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, FSA, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness initiatives. This role ensures benefits compliance, data accuracy, and high-quality employee service, while identifying opportunities to improve benefits offerings.
Responsibilities
1. Administer various employee benefits programs, including 401(k), enrollments, changes, COBRA, terminations, and compliance auditing, testing, and reporting.
2. Maintain benefits data in HRIS and ensure accurate payroll deductions.
3. Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
4. Resolve administrative problems with carrier representatives.
5. Coordinate benefits communications to improve employee understanding.
6. Monitor and audit FMLA and ADA requests to ensure proper compliance.
7. Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
8. Prepare and set up meetings to inform employees about company benefits and related programs, ensuring distribution of required notices.
9. Assist Benefits Director in completing benefits reporting requirements, including ACA.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
* Technical aptitude with HRIS and benefits databases.
* Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Effective planning and prioritization skills.
* Strong analytical skills and knowledge of plan designs.
* Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.).
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Education and Experience
* College degree or a combination of HR-related experience and education.
* Three to five years of related benefits administration experience.
* SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS designations preferred.
Essential Functions
* This is a hybrid position working 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
* Hand dexterity and ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
