Mechanical Design Engineer (Stress) required to work for a leading Aircraft Organisation in Central Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Perform static and dynamic analyses as well as fatigue and damage tolerance analyses for cabin completion and modification projects.
* Support the Team Leader Mechanical Design Engineering to develop working methods to ensure an efficient work flow.
* Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations
* Ensure adequate communication and liaison internally, especially with the Engineering Team as well as with external Third Parties
* Static, dynamic and fatigue calculations of different installations (e.g. interior monuments, antennae installation, additional water tank, etc.) in airplanes with different methods (e.g. Finite-Element-Analysis and hand calculations).
* Review and approval of drawings and designs for stress aspects.
* Work out of repairs and modifications in regard of stress.
* Consulting with the mechanical design engineering to achieve light and cost saving structure solutions.
* Development of technical as well as safety and certification relevant documentation such like reports, analysis, assessments
* Establishment of FEM models and Structural Substantiation Reports
* Development and procurement of material testing
* Development of engineering standards
Mandatory Requirements
* Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering or relevant field
* Profound knowledge of fundamental physics, technical mechanics, thermodynamics, aerospace technology and materials
* Minimum 5 years structural substantiation experience
* Proactive behaviour with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – additionally French and/or German is advantageous.
* Experienced FEM user (Femap). Experience with CAD software (AutoCad, CATIA, Solidworks). Proficient in MS Office. VBA programming skills are advantageous.
* AMOS experience would be an advantage.
* French and/or German is advantageous.
