Overview

Director – Natural Resources and Renewables, Warrington, London or Bristol with UK wide travel. Permanent, full-time role with flexible working and core hours. Gleeds is a leading global property and construction consultancy with a long-standing history and a focus on sustainable infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of sustainable infrastructure, working across the natural resources & renewables sector. You’ll be instrumental in driving strategic growth, client engagement, and delivery excellence across high impact programmes.


Responsibilities

* Grow the business – Spot opportunities, lead bids, and help us expand our footprint in natural resources & renewables.
* Keep us on track – Ensure projects run smoothly, following Gleeds governance and control processes.
* Champion your team – Support, develop and retain top talent, creating a culture where people thrive.
* Build our reputation – Strengthen Gleeds capability and presence in the energy sector, making us the go-to partner for clients.
* Keep everyone in the loop – Share updates and insights that connect your team to the wider business.
* Win work – Lead proposals and pitches that showcase our value.
* Deliver with impact – Ensure services are profitable, high quality, and exceed client expectations.
* Set the standard – Agree fees and scope with senior leadership, ensuring delivery of what we promise.
* Stay client-focused – Build strong relationships and ensure every client has a tailored care plan that reflects their needs and ambitions.


What we are looking for

* A strong track record in project controls, commercial management, procurement or project delivery on major infrastructure programmes.
* Real-world experience in the energy sector, with insight into how programmes are funded, governed, and aligned with national strategy.
* A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and how things get built in the real world.
* Sharp knowledge of procurement and contract strategies, and how to get the best outcomes for clients.
* Confidence in administering contracts and navigating the legal landscape around building and infrastructure.
* The ability to cut through complexity, absorb technical detail, and turn it into clear action.
* A natural networker and relationship builder, comfortable engaging with clients, partners, and stakeholders.


Qualifications

* Ideally, you’ll have a degree or equivalent in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Law or a related field but we’re open to alternative backgrounds if you bring the right experience.
* Professional membership of bodies like RICS, APM, CIOB, CICES, CIPS, ACostE is a plus and if you’re working towards one, we’ll support you.
