Responsibilities of the Role: Lead the management and development of a team delivering travel arrangements for children and young people with SEND. Oversee statutory eligibility assessments and commissioning processes, ensuring services meet legal requirements and individual needs. Develop and embed an independent travel training offer to build confidence and long-term independence for young people. Provide high-quality and differentiated advice and guidance to parents and carers, ensuring clear communication and engagement with service changes. Advise senior leaders, elected members and external bodies on SEND transport law, codes of practice, and local policy.
