Job Description:
Our public sector client seeks a Temporary Ongoing Higher Clerical Officer based in Enniskillen.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9-5 (37.5 hours per week).
Rate of pay: £12.31 per hour.
Duties
Provide a full administrative support service to the team and other professionals/departments.
Effectively deal with telephone calls from patients, relatives, parents/carers, community teams, general practitioners, and other individuals or organizations, taking messages, ensuring follow-up, and resolving any problems as appropriate.
Contribute to the organization of the office by carrying out routine administrative duties, including maintaining an efficient filing system, mail distribution, photocopying, binding, and ensuring relevant files are available for meetings.
Deal with incoming mail and direct correspondence to the team or handle routine items such as drafting routine letters for signature.
Facilitate communication by liaising with relevant staff, departments, hospitals, the public, and external agencies.
Handle telephone inquiries and take relevant action as appropriate.
Type letters, memorandums, and minutes. A high level of word processing skills is required, and the post holder will also need to develop skills in Microsoft Office software and other computer packages as needed.
Assist in producing PowerPoint presentations required by the department.
Qualifications and Experience
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including English Language and Maths or equivalent qualifications or higher education.
AND
* 1 year of administrative/clerical experience.
OR
* NVQ Level II in Business & Administration or equivalent, with 1 year of administrative/clerical experience.
OR
* 3 years of administrative/clerical experience.
And in addition:
* At least 6 months experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
* Experience in coordinating meetings and transcribing minutes.
