Your new role
This role involves supporting care leavers whilst they transition from care to adulthood by helping them with education, employment, housing, finances and social needs. As a PA, your main role is to ensure the care leaver has a Pathway Plan and that this is regularly reviewed with the young person, helping them to achieve their goals and be more independent. You will serve as a point of contact and guide, offering advice and support until the young person is at least 21, but depending on their needs this may extend to 25 years old.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need experience in a similar role or of working with young people in a residential setting and have a minimum L3 qualification in Children and Young People. An enhanced Childrens and Adults DBS is also essential for this role.
