HSEQ Manager
Location: Basingstoke, with flexible with travel to sites across the South
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Car or allowance + benefits
About the role:
An exciting senior leadership opportunity has arisen with a leading UK-based contractor operating within construction sector. With an ambitious growth strategy and a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality excellence, this role offers the chance to shape and influence the HSEQ culture at both strategic and operational levels.
As the HSEQ Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team and take ownership of all HSEQ systems and initiatives across multiple projects / sites. You’ll be a key figure within the senior leadership team, helping drive improvements and performance across compliance, safety culture, training, and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and deliver the organisation’s HSEQ strategy in alignment with business goals
* Oversee the development and implementation of HSEQ management systems aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
* Manage and mentor HSEQ team, ensuring high performance and continuous development
* Support audit and accreditation processes, and ensure legal and client compliance across operations
* Promote a positive, behaviour-based safety culture through site engagement, training and leadership
* Monitor and report on HSEQ KPIs, using data to inform continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent with TechIOSH or Chartered IOSH status
* Strong working knowledge ISO standards (450001, 14001 & 9001)
* Experience managing HSEQ across multiple sites in a construction or subcontractor environment
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder influencing skills
* Proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to implement practical improvements
