The Opportunity:
Are you a seasoned Cloud Architect ready to make an impact in national security and defence? This is your chance to take a leading role in designing and delivering cutting-edge cloud solutions that matter. You’ll work in a collaborative, multi-skilled Agile team where innovation, transformation, and shared challenges are part of daily life.
This is a senior technical opportunity to shape cloud strategy and delivery across mission-critical programmes, while mentoring others and remaining at the forefront of technology and best practice.
The Role:
As a Lead Cloud Architect, you will be a key figure in the delivery of public and private cloud solutions, working closely with stakeholders across infrastructure, applications, and security teams.
You will:
• Design innovative cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI tailored to customer needs, including high-security environments.
• Lead or contribute to bid responses and customer negotiations.
• Provide consultancy on cloud transformation, adoption, and migration strategies.
• Mentor internal teams on cloud technologies and architecture.
• Support testing and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Produce and maintain automation scripts, documentation, architectural diagrams, and technical guides.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous innovation.
• Proven experience designing and managing complex cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code and scripting tools for automated deployment and configuration.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards applicable to cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Relevant cloud certifications are highly desirable.
• Ability to work on-site in Basingstoke and at customer locations when required.
• Eligibility for high-level UK security vetting.
• Salary – Up to £94,000 + package
